Tonight, at CN Centre, the Prince George Cougars wrap up their brief two-game home-stand and take on the Eastern Conference leading Winnipeg ICE at 6:00 PM. Tonight marks the first time in WHL history that Winnipeg has made the trip to Prince George since their relocation from Cranbrook. The Cougars are coming off a 2-1 defeat to the Brandon Wheat Kings on Wednesday night at CN Centre. Carter MacAdams had the lone tally for the home-side, while Tyler Brennan had a great night, stopping 24 on 26 despite getting the loss.

THE MAC LIFE: Wednesday night's contest against the Wheat Kings was a strong one for Carter MacAdams. The 18-year-old from South Surrey not only had a goal in the game, but also registered six shots. All three of MacAdams' goals this season have come at CN Centre and added a shootout winner in the Cats last victory which came against the Vancouver Giants at the Langley Events Centre on October 7th.
PLAYING HIS FORMER TEAM: Cougars 20-year-old and former member of the Winnipeg ICE Chase Wheatcroft has had an excellent start to the 2022-23 campaign. The Calgary, AB product has amassed six points in seven games thus far, which includes three goals and three assists. Wheatcroft was acquired by the Cats in June in exchange for a fourth-round pick.

ROAD WARRIORS: Winnipeg is just over halfway through their 13-game road trip to open the 2022-23 season. The ICE sport a 6-1 record in their first seven games. Winnipeg's first home game of the season will be on October 29th against the Brandon Wheat Kings.
ZACH BENSON: Entering his first year of NHL Draft eligibility, it has been a strong start for Zach Benson. Benson, in his sophomore WHL Season, has collected 10 points in his team's first seven games of the season (4G-6A). The Langley, BC native suited up in 58 games for Winnipeg last season, and finished with 63 points (25G-38A).
