Cougars Acquire Goaltender Peyton Shore from Red Deer

PRINCE GEORGE, BC - Prince George Cougars General Manager and Head Coach Mark Lamb announced today that the team has acquired 2008-born goaltender Peyton Shore from the Red Deer Rebels in exchange for a sixth-round selection in the 2027 WHL Prospects Draft.
Shore, 18, has spent the past two seasons with the Rebels, appearing in 38 games and earning 11 victories. He posted a 7-7-1 record during his rookie campaign in 2024-25 before making 19 appearances last season. Shore stands in at 6'2 ¬Â³and 184 pounds.
"We were looking at adding some experience for our goaltending and Peyton came available," said Lamb.
Shore was originally selected in the fifth round of the WHL Prospects Draft by the Red Deer Rebels.
The Cougars begin the 2026-27 regular season on Friday and Saturday night when they host the Penticton Vees in Home Opening Rivalry Weekend at the CN Centre. You can secure your seats.
