How to Get to NBT Bank Stadium During Summer Road Paving

May 29, 2018 - International League (IL1)
Syracuse Mets News Release

SYRACUSE, NY - Due to summer road paving on portions of Park St. between Hiawatha Blvd. and NBT Bank Parkway, the Syracuse Chiefs would like to offer fans alternate routes to NBT Bank Stadium. The road paving will continue over the next two weeks, weather permitting. The Syracuse Chiefs have home games at NBT Bank Stadium from Tuesday, May 29th through Sunday, June 3rd.

FOR FANS COMING FROM THE NORTH (ON 81 S) - Construction should not affect this route so we offer the two best options that are always available.

- Take exit 25 (Seventh North St.) to Hiawatha Blvd. and enter Stadium at Grant Blvd. entrance

- Take exit 23 (Hiawatha Blvd.) to Tex Simone Dr.

FOR FANS COMING FROM SOUTH (ON 81 N)

- Take exit 23 (Park St.) and traffic crews will direct you which way to go depending on construction

- Take exit 22 (Court St.) and take left on Sunset Ave. and then Right on Court St. Take left on 1st North St. to Tex Simone Drive entrance or continue on Court to Grant Blvd. and take left on Grant Blvd. to Grant Blvd. entrance to stadium.

Construction mostly affects travelers coming off I-81 N, Exit 23, from the South, and traffic crews will divert fans to either NBT Bank Parkway or Hiawatha Blvd. depending on where construction is taking place.

The Syracuse Chiefs encourage fans to look at alternate routes that are always available for entry to Syracuse Chiefs games and event.

All fans attending Syracuse Chiefs games can enter the parking lot through any of our parking lot entrances.

- Grant Blvd. - Open every game and can be accessed from the traffic light at the intersection of Grant Blvd. and Hiawatha Blvd.

- Main Entrance - Open every game and can be accessed from Tex Simone Dr. and NBT Bank Parkway and is also the location of the marquee Syracuse Chiefs sign.

- The Point - Open every game and is located on Tex Simone Dr., just past the Main entrance. The Pont entrance is only open for season ticket holders, suite holders and accessible parking.

"It is our hope that fans will not be deterred from visiting NBT Bank Stadium this week due to traffic concerns," said Jason Smorol, general manager. "We have many different entrances that are easily accessible for our fans, not just during road construction, but all the time. It's going to be a beautiful week so I encourage everyone to come enjoy our affordable, family fun!"
