LOUISVILLE, KY - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders shutout the Louisville Bats 4-0 on Tuesday night at Lousiville Slugger Field. Josh Rogers pitched seven scoreless and was backed by four solo home runs in as the RailRiders won the first game of their six-game road trip.

Billy McKinney and Ryan McBroom hit home runs off Bats starter Cody Reed in the second inning. McKinney's opened the scoring; his first home run at any level this season. McBroom's two-out shot was his fifth of the year and his 14th run batted in, doubling the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre lead for Rogers.

The RailRiders starter limited the Bats to five hits over seven shutout frames with three strikeouts and two walks. Rogers, a native of New Albany, IN, grew up ten minutes away from Louisville Slugger Field and played collegiately for the University of Louisville.

Clint Frazier and Mike Ford added solo home runs off Reed in the top half of the seventh to extend the lead to 4-0. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Cody Carroll worked the final two innings to complete the RailRiders third shutout this season. Frazier, McKinney, McBroom and Ronald Torreyes had two hits apiece to pace Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

This three-game set continues on Wednesday night with David Hale (0-2, 5.70) getting the call for the RailRiders against Anthony DeSclafani (0-1, 10.80) for the Bats on a Major League rehab assignment.
