Hitmen Fall Short of Lethbridge 6-4

Lethbridge, AB - Tyler Wong scored a pair of goals, including the game winner that snapped a 4-4 third period tie, giving the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-4 victory over the Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday night at the Enmax Centre.

The win moves Lethbridge two points ahead of Calgary for second place in the WHL's Central Division.

Carter Folk, Cory Millette, Egor Babenko and Justin Gutierrez also scored for the Hurricanes who improved their league leading home ice record to 12-2.

Keegan Kanzig, Pavel Karnaukhov, Tyler Mrkonjic and Mark Kastelic replied for the Hitmen who suffered their first regulation loss in nine games.

Calgary, 16-11-1-1, returns to the Scotiabank Saddledome tomorrow night, Thurs. Dec. 3, to host the East Division leading Prince Albert Raiders. Game time is 7:00 p.m. The Hitmen will then welcome the Swift Current Broncos in the 21st annual Petro-Canada Teddy Bear Toss on Sunday, December 6th. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
