Edmonton, AB - The Calgary Hitmen received goals from five different players en route to a 5-0 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Friday night at Rogers Place.

Defenceman Grayden Siepmann led the charge with a goal and two assists while Jacob Wright also turned in a multi-point performance with a goal and a helper.

Leading 1-0, the Hitmen took control when Billal Noori and Carson Wetsch scored just 13 seconds apart in the second period to extend the lead to 3-0. Keegan Slaney counted the other Hitmen tally while goaltender Brayden Peters made 18 saves for his fifth career shutout.

Oliver Tulk added a pair of assists for the visitors while rookie Ethan Moore also set up a goal for his first ever WHL point.

Calgary, winners of two in a row, outshot Edmonton 43-18 to snap a seven-game losing streak against their Alberta rivals.

The Hitmen, 5-4-1-1, will now return to Scotiabank Saddledome on Sunday, Oct. 30 for a 2:00 p.m. start against the Vancouver Giants for another Sunday Funday, presented by Brookfield Residential. In addition to $2 sips and snacks specials all game long, look for concourse activities from TELUS Spark including Halloween pre-game trick-or-treating and a cast of characters outfitted by the Costume Shoppe. There are also $6 Hitmen Happy Hour food and drink deals throughout the day and a post-game family skate.
