Tonight, at the CN Centre, the Prince George Cougars will look to make it three straight wins as they host the undefeated Seattle Thunderbirds tonight at 7:00 PM. The Cats are coming off a thrilling 4-3 overtime win over the Kamloops Blazers. Ty Young was spectacular in goal, making 45 saves, along with two goals from Hudson Thornton, a late third period tying goal from Chase Wheatcroft, and Koehn Ziemmer scoring the overtime winner.

STAY HOT: The fantastic start continues for Cougars leading scorer Koehn Ziemmer. The Mayerthorpe, AB product sits fourth in WHL scoring with 17 points in 10 games (7G-10A). Entering tonight's game against Seattle, Ziemmer has five points in his last two games, and is four goals away from reaching the 50 goal milestone in his WHL career.
ON THE BACK END: Cougars 19-year-old defenders Hudson Thornton and Ethan Samson have been incredibly productive 10 games into the 2022-23 season. The two Cougar defencemen sit third and fourth in league scoring among all WHL blue liners. Both men have been key on the power-play, and are tied for the league lead in power-play goals among all defencemen, with three a piece.

PRODUCTION: The Thunderbirds have gotten some tremendous efforts from multiple players to start the season. Edmonton Oiler draft pick Reid Schaefer already has already scored 10 times in eight games, which is tied for the league lead with Connor Bedard. Lucas Ciona leads all Thunderbirds skaters in points with 15, and has gotten points in all eight games for Seattle.
