Chiefs Hit the Road to Take on Kamloops Blazers in First of Two Weekend Match-Ups

Kamloops, B.C. - The Spokane Chiefs look to snap their three-game losing streak as they head to Kamloops to take on the Blazers Friday night.

17-year-old Kooper Gizowski still leads the team in scoring with four goals and seven assists for 11 total points. He's followed by rookie Berkly Catton (3G-7A), Chase Bertholet (4G-5A) and Ty Cheveldayoff (4G-4A).

Rookie netminder Cooper Michaluk is 3-1-0-0 in his four starts this season and posted a season-high 42 saves in Saturday's game against the Seattle Thunderbirds.

In the last five games, Bertholet has six points (3G-3A), Catton has seven points (2G-5A), Cheveldayoff has five points (3G-2A) and Gizowski has five points (3G-2A). All four of them are on two-game point streaks.

The Blazers and the Chiefs last faced each other in Spokane's 2022-23 home opener on October 1, as Kamloops came away with the 4-2 win.
