Lethbridge, AB - The Calgary Hitmen have pulled within five points of Lethbridge for a Western Hockey League playoff spot after beating the Hurricanes 6-1 Saturday night at the ENMAX Centre.

Goaltender Nick Schneider made 37 saves and added an assist to backstop the Hitmen to their fourth straight win over Lethbridge in the season series.

Andrew Fyten netted a pair of goals for Calgary with Luke Coleman (1g, 1a), Jameson Murray (1g, 2a), Riley Stotts (1g, 1a), and Cael Zimmerman adding singles. Jake Kryski chipped in a pair of assists.

Jordy Bellerive tallied the lone goal for the Hurricanes who outshot the Hitmen 38-34.

Calgary returns home on Sunday, Jan. 7 to face the Kelowna Rockets. The 4:00 p.m. start at the Scotiabank Saddledome is another Sunday Funday presented by Pocky.
