The HERSHEY BEARS Hockey Club defeated the Albany River Rats Friday but lost to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Bridgeport on the road this past weekend in East Division action. The second place BEARS wrap up a five-game road trip Friday in Philadelphia against the Phantoms.
Philadelphia and Binghamton come to GIANT Center this weekend as the BEARS return home. Tickets are on sale now at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911.
Second City: For the first time this season, the BEARS start the week in second place after a 4-1 loss Sunday at Bridgeport. The BEARS spent 32 straight days at the top of the East Division before falling on Sunday in Connecticut. HERSHEY has dropped four of five games entering play this week, including the last two in regulation.
Philly month continues: Three of HERSHEY'S next four games are against the Philadelphia Phantoms. The two teams will play a total of seven times during the month of November. The Phantoms have won two of the first three meetings between the two clubs.
Sloan on recall: The Washington Capitals recalled defenseman Tyler Sloan Saturday morning. Sloan played against the New York Rangers Saturday night and remains on recall. It's the second recall this season for the Calgary, AB native.
Upcoming promotions-The Hershey Bears Booster Club will be hosting its annual Ronald McDonald "Help the House" night on Saturday, November 15 when the BEARS host the Philadelphia Phantoms. The HBBC will be accepting donations for the Ronald McDonald House throughout the game on the concourse.
Washington update-After a 3-1 win over the New York Rangers Saturday night at Verizon Center, the Capitals host division rival Tampa Bay Monday night in D.C. Following a game this Wednesday in Raleigh against the Carolina Hurricanes , Washington returns home to face the New Jersey Devils Friday night at 7:00 p.m. It's Bruce Boudreau Bobblehead night Friday, when the first 15,000 fans receive a free Bruce bobblehead.
