Hellberg Heads to Cincinnati

Milwaukee, WI - The Nashville Predators today reassigned goaltender Magnus Hellberg to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. In addition, the Admirals have signed defenseman Brian Young to an amateur try-out contract (ATO).

Hellberg has been out of game action for over two months after he was injured with four seconds remaining in overtime on January 16th at San Antonio. In 21 appearances with the Admirals this season the Uppsala, Sweden native has accumulated a 5-13-1 record with a 2.82 goals against average, a .895 save percentage and one shutout. In his rookie campaign of 2012-13 Hellberg posted a 22-13-2 record with a 2.14 goals against average, a .924 save percentage and six shutouts.

Young joins the Admirals after completing a four-year career with the University of Nebraska-Omaha. This past season Young served as team captain and led team blueliners with 22 points (3g-19a), helping the club to a third place finish in the NCHC with a 13-9-2 record. In four seasons at UNO, Young tallied 68 points (13-55a) and 109 penalty minutes in 148 games played.

The Admirals kick-off a four-game road trip on Friday, March 21st at 6:30 pm CT in Hamilton against the Bulldogs and don't have another home game until they host the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday, March 28th at 7 pm at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
