Abbotsford, B.C.- Cody Hodgson would score two goals late in the third period to lift the Manitoba Moose to a 3-1 victory over the Abbotsford Heat in front of a packed house of 7046 at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre.

After a scoreless first period, Aldergrove's Matt Keith would open the scoring with his team leading tenth goal of the season at 16:09. The lead lasted just nine seconds as Kevin Clark would slide a puck under Leland Irving to knot the score at 1-1 after two periods.

Midway thru the final frame, Abbotsford's Mitch Wahl was levelled by Aaron Volpatti with a wicked open ice hit just inside the Moose blue line. Wahl was on the ice for several minutes before being transported to the local hospital, but was alert and awake as he left the building.

Shortly afterwards, Hodgson would score the game winner as he redirected a Bill Sweatt shot past a screened Irving. Hodgson would complete the scoring with his tenth goal of the season in the empty Heat goal with just 1:10 to play.

Eddie Lack would turn aside 29 of 30 Heat shots for the win, while Leland Irving turned aside 32 of 34 for the loss. The Heat and Moose split their two game series here in the Fraser Valley and will meet again on January 3 and 4 back in Abbotsford.
