Last Time Out... The Senators snapped their six-game losing streak, defeating the Erie SeaWolves 7- 3 at Commerce Bank Park on Sunday afternoon. The Senators used spot starter Danny Rueckel to begin the game, and he set the tone going four innings and allowing just a single run. The Senators also helped, jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the second, scoring two more in the fourth on a two-run home run by Josh Whitesell, then putting the game away in the fifth inning scoring three times. Roy Corcoran came into the ninth inning with two on and two in, induced a double play ball, and then a strike out to record his league leading ninth save of the year. Kory Casto had two hits, one a two rbi triple and Alex Escobar also had two hits.

Defensively... The Senators have committed 25 errors and have turned 32 double plays. The 32 double plays is second in the league to Erie (38). They have committed three errors in a game twice. The Sens are currently second in overall defense in the Eastern League. The Senators have been errorless in eleven games this season. The Senators have 4 outfield assists (Diaz 1; Guerrero 1; Lane 1 and Escobar 1). Kory Casto is the league leader in defense at third base with a .974 fielding pct and Frank Diaz leads the Eastern League in defense for outfielders, having not committed an error thus far this season.

League Leaders... Offensively Frank Diaz is fourth in batting (.336) and first in hits (37). Roy Corcoran is first in Saves (9) and he's tied for first in games (13). As a team the Senators are fourth in the league in hitting (.257); and fourth in the league in pitching (3.16). Giving Yourself Up... The Senators have 17 sacrifice bunts (second in the league to Reading's 20), and five sacrifice flies. In 2005 they had 52 sacrifice bunts and 40 sacrifice flies.

Major League Time... Several Senators have Major League playing experience. Shawn Hill pitched in three games with the Expos in 2004; Alex Escobar made his Major League debut with the Mets in 2001 going 10 x 50 with 3hr's and 8 rbi's, in 2003 with the Indians he was 27 x 99 with 5 hr's and 14 rbi's and in 2004 with the Indians he hit .211 in 46 games with a home run and 12 rbi's; and Roy Corcoran has appeared in 10 major league games with the then Montreal Expos. Corcoran made it to Montreal in 2003 appearing in 5G going 7.1IP allowing just one earned run and in 2004 he appeared in 5G again, going 5.1IP allowing four earned runs.
