APPLETON, WI - The Bowling Green Hot Rods roared back from an early 2-0 deficit to take a 10-5 win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers this afternoon at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. LF Emilio Gustave and C Alexander Alvarez each homered in the win.

After falling behind 2-0 through one inning, the Hot Rods started the comeback trail in the second. LF Moises Gomez led off with a double and scored on an RBI groundout off the bat of 1B Jim Haley, and it was 2-1 Wisconsin.

LF Emilio Gustave tied it in the top of the third with a leadoff home run, his third of the season. The Hot Rods took the lead for good four batters later when Gomez collected a pair of RBI on his second double of the day, and the Hot Rods led 4-2.

After the Timber Rattlers got a run back in the bottom of the third, the Hot Rods poured it on in the fourth. They scored four runs on six consecutive hits, started by a leadoff home run from C Alexander Alvarez, and the visitors led 8-3.

The Timber Rattlers got another run back in the fifth, closing the gap to 8-4.

Bowling Green added two more runs in the eighth on a 2B Vidal Brujan RBI triple that, due to an error, turned into a little league home run, and it was 10-4 Hot Rods.
