For the second straight weekend, the Hamilton Bulldogs only action will take place away from Copps Coliseum. The Bulldogs battle the Syracuse Crunch (41-21-4-2) on Saturday, March 25 at the Onondaga County War Memorial at Oncenter. This will be the seventh of eight meetings this season between these two teams, with each team winning three games thus far. In the last meeting on February 24, five Hamilton players recorded multipoint games as the Bulldogs defeated the Crunch 6-5 in a shootout.
Fans can listen to Saturday's game, and every Bulldogs game, on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, Hamilton's 820 CHAM "The Legend". Fans can also listen to or watch Bulldogs games on-line at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com. To listen online, click on the âBulldogs Action 820 CHAM Listen Live' Icon on the âDogs website. Ellery Award winning broadcaster Derek Wills will provide the play-by-play call of all 80 regular season games with Al Craig providing the colour commentary for home games and select road games.
BULLDOGS NOTES
- LW Brad Winchester is on a five-game point streak, posting six goals and four assists. His 25 goals lead the team and his 16 power-play goals are tied for seventh in the AHL.
- D James Sanford has five points (one goal, four assists) in his last five games.
- C Maxim Lapierre posted one goal and one assist in Hamilton's 4-3 loss to the Milwaukee Admirals on Wednesday, March 22. It was Lapierre's first multipoint game since February 11.
ALUMNI WATCH
- Canadiens C Chris Higgins and RW Alexander Perezhogin each scored, while RW Michael Ryder, C Mike Ribeiro and C Tomas Plekanec each collected an assist in Montreal's 5-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs last night at the Bell Centre. G Cristobal Huet stopped 33 of 34 shots to earn the win.
- Oilers LW Raffi Torres scored twice, RW Fernando Pisani also scored, while C Jarret Stoll collected two assists as Edmonton fell 4-3 in a shootout to the Vancouver Canucks.
