Worcester Sharks News Release

WORCESTER, MA - Worcester Sharks President Michael T. Lehr announced today the hiring of Jamie Smock as the Sharks Director of Broadcasting, Michael Myers as the Youth Hockey and Community Relations Manager, Zack Hoover as the Ticket Sales Manager, and Brian Jamison as an Account Executive.

Smock has spent the last five years with the Sharks organization, serving as the Director of Broadcasting for the club's American Hockey League Affiliate. As the Voice of the Worcester Sharks, Smock will provide play-by-play for all Sharks games and events, as well as work on corporate sponsorships and help structure the Sharks broadcast deals.

Smock joined the Sharks organization after five years of professional ice hockey broadcasting at the ECHL level with the Knoxville Cherokees and Pee Dee Pride. During his tenure with the Pride, Smock earned a selection by the ECHL to broadcast the league's 2000 All-Star Classic in Greenville, SC. He also founded and presided over the Pride Youth Hockey Association - the first youth ice hockey program of its kind in northeast South Carolina. In just over four years of work in South Carolina, Smock became the Assistant General Manager while continuing his broadcast duties.

Myers, a 1993 graduate of Assumption College where he played goalie for four years of varsity ice hockey, will be the direct liaison between the Sharks and area hockey/figure skating organizations. Myers will also be heavily involved with the Sharks community relations efforts. Myers currently serves as Owner and Head Designer of his own goalie mask design company and serves as an instructor for many youth hockey association goaltender instruction camps. Myers' mask-design clients include NHL stars Olaf Kolzig, Evgeni Nabokov and Dwayne Roloson.

Hoover, a native of Chelmsford, will be responsible for selling group and season ticket packages while also managing the staff and working to achieve revenue goals. Hoover joins the Sharks from the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League, where he has served as a Ticket Account Executive and Youth Hockey Coordinator for the past three seasons. He also served as a Media Relations and Marketing intern with the Lock Monsters before being hired full time. Hoover graduated from Stonehill College in 2003 and earned his masters of science in Sports Administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2005.

Jamison will serve as an Account Executive for the Sharks and will be responsible for building and maintaining season and group ticket partnerships while generating new accounts through marketing sales leads. Jamison graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2005 with a degree in Sports Management.

The Sharks will open their inaugural season in October 2006 at the DCU Center in Worcester. Full-season, Flex-Ticket plans, Half-Season, and Ten-Game Packs are on sale now. To be a part of the action, secure your seat by contacting the Sharks Front Office at 508.929.0500 or Crash the Net at www.sharksahl.com.
