Atlanta Returns Abid to Wolves

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned right wing RAMZI ABID (RAM-zee a-BID) to the Chicago Wolves.

ABID has collected two assists and six penalty minutes in six games spanning three stints with the Thrashers this year. Overall, the Montreal native has tallied 13 goals and 25 points in 55 National Hockey League games with the Phoenix Coyotes (2002-03), Pittsburgh Penguins (2002-2004) and Atlanta (2005-06).

The 25-year-old forward leads the Wolves with a career-high 28 goals and 62 points in 63 games. He also paces the squad with 15 power-play goals and ranks second with a career-most 34 assists.
