Hamilton Hosts Houston And Toronto; Travels To Cleveland This Week

The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will play three games this week, beginning with two hometown tilts at Copps Coliseum against the Houston Aeros (AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild) on Friday November 7th at 7:30 p.m., and the Toronto Marlies on Saturday November 8th at 7:00 p.m. (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs). The 'Dogs will then hit the road for a North Division rival match-up against the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche) on Sunday November 9th, 5:00 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena.

Last week, Hamilton posted a 8-2-1-0 record, the second best start in Bulldogs franchise history since their 1997-1998 season. On Wednesday October 29th the 'Dogs downed the Hershey Bears 6-0 at Copps Coliseum. In a Halloween game on Friday October 31st, the Bulldogs spooked the Lake Erie Monsters to earn a 3-2 win. The 'Dogs hit the road on Saturday November 1st earning a 5-3 win over the Rochester Americans at Blue Cross Arena. Wrapping up the week the 'Dogs took on their QEW rivals the Toronto Marlies for the second time this season at Ricoh Coliseum. Biting back from their previous loss, Hamilton defeated the Marlies 2-1 in a shootout victory to extend their winning streak to four games.

- Wednesday October 29th Hamilton D Mathieu Carle played his first game since his pre-season injury with Montreal. On Friday October 31st, he picked up two assists and was named first star of the game

- Bulldog point leader RW Matt D'Agostini (6-7-13) picked up two more goals and an assists this week

- RW Matt D'Agostini is currently 7th in league scoring with 13 points (six goals, seven assists).

- G Marc Denis tallied his second shut out of the season with a 6-0 win against the Hershey Bears on Wednesday October 29th turning away 37 shots on net
