
Amerks In The Community Six Times This Week

(Rochester, NY)... The Wendy's Amerks' "Reading Power Play" continues at three different libraries this week. Today, Jordan Henry will be at the Monroe City Branch Library (809 Monroe Ave.) at 4:00 p.m. Tonight at 6:30 p.m., Riley Emmerson will be at the Highland City Branch Library (971 South Ave.) also reading to kids, answering their questions, putting on a hockey demonstration, and signing autographs. The third reading appearance of the week will include Drew Larman at the Mendon Library appearance. The appearance will be hosted at the Manor Intermediate School in Honeoye Falls (147 East St., Honeoye Falls) on Wednesday, November 5th.
Tonight also includes the next installment of the Power Play Radio show at the Distillery (3010 Winton Road South). On hand for the show will be Rochester Americans defenseman Doug O'Brien and left wing Andrew Sweetland, and Assistant Coach Jason Cipolla.
On Tuesday November 4th, the organization will hold its Annual Amerks' Season Ticket Holder Skate with the Players. Season ticket holders can skate with the Amerks players from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The veterans of the team will be on the ice from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and the rookies of the team will be on the ice from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Attendees are highly encouraged to bring their own skates as there will be a limited number of pairs available to be used. Children ages 12 and under must wear a helmet and one must have ice skates on to gain access to the ice. Please bring your season ticket holder I.D. or a valid driver's license to gain admittance.
Lastly on Wednesday, November 5th, General Manager, Jody Gage will be speaking at the annual Avon Lions Club - Father, Son Dinner. The dinner will take place at the Avon Inn where he will talk about his playing career and answer questions that people may have.
