Minnesota Wild recalls forward Krys Kolanos

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled center Krys Kolanos from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) and placed Owen Nolan on Injured Reserve.
Kolanos, 27 (7/27/81), has recorded eight points (7-1=8) in seven games with Houston this season and ranks third on the team in scoring and tied for fifth in the AHL in goals. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound native of Calgary, Alberta has notched 35 points (17-18=35) in 115 career NHL matches with Phoenix and Edmonton. Kolanos was recalled under emergency conditions by the Wild on Oct. 17 and did not appear in a game before being reassigned to the Aeros on Oct. 21. He last appeared in an NHL game on Dec. 15, 2005 against Montreal.
Kolanos was originally selected by the Coyotes in the first round (19th overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. The Wild signed him as a free agent on July 11, 2008.
