Hainsey and Hossa to join Bulldogs

MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens' General Manager, Bob Gainey, today announced that forward Pierre Dagenais and defenceman Mike Komisarek have been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. Defenceman Ron Hainsey and forward Marcel Hossa have been assigned to Hamilton.

Dagenais is currently second in the AHL in scoring (behind Bulldogs captain Benoit Gratton) with 21 points in 20 games (12-9-21) and a +4 rating. Dagenais played in 60 games in the NHL with the New Jersey Devils and the Florida Panthers, where he collected 19 points (13-6-19).

Komisarek is currently third in scoring amongst the Bulldogs' defencemen with 9 points in 18 games (2 goals, 7 assists) and 47 penalty minutes. Last season, he played 21 games with the Canadiens, collecting an assist (0-1-1) and 28 penalty minutes.

Hainsey, 22, played in 11 games with the Canadiens this season, while earning two points(1-1-2) and a rating of +3. The 6'3, 200 pound native of Bolton, Connecticut skated in 33 games for the Bulldogs last season, collecting 13 points (2-11-13) and 26 penalty minutes. Hainsey was named to the AHL All-Rookie team in 2002.

Hossa, a 22 year-old native of Ilava, Czech Republic, has played in 15 games with the Canadiens, recording two points (1-1-2). The 6'2, 211 pound forward wore the Bulldogs uniform for 37 regular season games in 2002-03, earning nearly a point a game (19-13-32).

The Hamilton Bulldogs next action takes place on Wednesday, November 26th, as they will face the Toronto Roadrunners in their first visit to the Ricoh Coliseum.
