LAWRENCEVILLE, GA "" The Gwinnett Braves return to Coolray Field on Thursday, August 20 to begin a four-game homestand against the Louisville Bats, the Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. The series includes a variety of promotions, appearances and special events.

On Friday, the G-Braves will host their annual "Mystery Ball Auction." For $20, fans can purchase a bag that contains an autographed baseball. That baseball could be signed by former Major League stars such as New York Yankees' shortstop Derek Jeter and 1970 American League Most Valuable Player John "Boog" Powell, or various current Major League and minor league players. Bags are available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis, and all proceeds go to the ALS Association Georgia Chapter.

Friday's 7:05 p.m. game is also a special night as the G-Braves celebrate the birthday of Chopper the Groundhog! Several of Chopper's mascot friends, including Homer from the Atlanta Braves, Maximus from the Gwinnett Gladiators and Stinger from the Georgia Swarm will take part in the festivities. The night concludes with post-game fireworks on "Fireworks Friday."

The G-Braves will host "Stand Up To Cancer Night" during the 7:05 p.m. game on Saturday, August 22. Fans will receive a "Who I Fight For" placard when they enter the stadium. They can personalize the signs at the Fifth Third Bank tables on the concourse to hold up for a moment of silence during the game. Also, Fifth Third Bank will donate $1 to cancer research for every tweet that includes #howifight @FifthThird and @SU2C.
