Buffalo Bisons News Release

Buffalo's pitching staff struggled through six different pitchers on Wednesday as Rochester completed the series sweep, defeating the Bisons 6-0. One pitcher that didn't struggle was pitching for the other team at Frontier Field. Pat Dean pitched a complete game for Rochester, earning his tenth win of the season.

The Red Wings were able to pin Bisons' starter Phillippe Aumont for four runs in two innings and went on to defeat the Bisons, 6-0, at Frontier Field on Wednesday afternoon. Aumont gave up a season-tying four runs to Rochester, who now hold sole possession of second place in the IL North after sweeping the Herd.

The right-handed starter entered the game with a more confidence against Rochester. Last Thursday, Aumont pitched his best outing for Buffalo allowing one run in six innings, adding eight strikeouts and four walks in his no-decision performance.

Buffalo's pitching staff included Greg Burke (2.0 IP), Aaron Loup (1.1 IP), Ben Rowen (0.2 IP), Ryan Tepera (1.0) and Steve Delabar (1.0 IP) to combine six innings of work. The bullpen allowed two runs, five strikeouts and three walks in their performances on Wedneday afternoon.

Rochester pushed two runs across in the first and second innings, before adding two more insurance runs in the sixth inning, securing their shutout victory against the Bisons.

Red Wings' starter Pat Dean earned Rochester's leading 10th win, with nine innings of work, six hits allowed with no walks, and six strikeouts.

The Bisons have a day off on Thursday before returning back to Coca-Cola Field on Friday at 7:05 against Syracuse for another Thruway Cup series.
