
Grrrowl Beat Augusta, 4-2, at the BI-LO Center

GREENVILLE, SC â After a scoreless first period, MIKKO SIVONEN and JONATHAN ROY gave Greenville a lead they would not relinquish. The Grrrowl posted a 4-2 victory over the Augusta Lynx in front of 3,911 at the BI-LO Center Tuesday night.
Sivonen gave Greenville a 1-0 lead :14 seconds into the second period with his team-leading 14th goal of the season. Roy, then, scored a shorthanded goal at the 2:00 minute mark of the second to put the Grrrowl up by two. Andrew Williamson made it a one-goal game (2-1) at 16:48 of the second, but MATT DEMARSKI gave Greenville another two-goal lead before the end of period two. DAVID KACZOWKA and John Campbell exchanged goals in the third period, and the Grrowl won 4-2.
For Kaczowka, it was his first of the season and second professional goal in his two year career. The Lynx outshot the Grrrowl, 33-31.
The Grrrowl open a home-and-home series with the Pee Dee Pride on Friday night at the BI-LO Center (7:05 PM, Newsradio 1330 & 950 WORD).
