ECHL Suspends Pensacola's Cruickshank for Five Games, Mississippi's Cava for One Game

PRINCETON, N.J. – The East Coast Hockey League announced on Tuesday that it has suspended Pensacola forward Brad Cruickshank for five games and Mississippi defenseman Chris Cava for one game as a result of their actions in ECHL Game # 334 at Pensacola on December 12.

At 18:26 of the third period, Cruickshank came onto the ice from the player's bench during a stoppage in play and immediately instigated an altercation with a Mississippi player. He was assessed game misconducts under Rule 56(a) and Rule 72(a). He is suspended the five games under Rule 72(a) Leaving Player's Bench.

Cava is suspended one game for his actions during the same altercation under Rule 33(a) Supplementary Discipline.

Cruickshank missed Pensacola's game vs. Arkansas (Dec. 14) and will miss Pensacola's games vs. Louisiana (Dec. 17), vs. Florida (Dec. 20), at Florida (Dec. 21) and at Florida (Dec. 22).

Cava will miss Mississippi's game at Arkansas (Dec. 18).
