Upcoming week of December 16th - December 22nd:
· Monday, December 16th - The Bakersfield Condors will host 1,000 Kern County students today as a part of Hispanic Radio & Kern County Superintendent of Schools' Youth Motivational Day at Centennial Garden from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm. The students will have the opportunity to learn the basics of hockey by watching a video that will be explained by Condors players Jamie Cooke and David Bell. In addition to the video, Head Coach Paul Kelly and Associate Coach Marty Raymond will be addressing the students on health, nutrition, the negative effects of drugs, and team work ethics. Following, the students will be guided by Condors players on a tour of the locker room, get an explanation on equipment, get a chance to shoot the puck in the Condors Slapshot, learn about sports medicine, and what it takes to call a game on the radio. "It's a great chance for the Condors to reach out to the communities surrounding Bakersfield as well as educate students on the game of hockey that might not normally have a chance," said Condors winger Jamie Cooke. Each student that attended the event received a free ticket to the game this Sunday, December 22, 2002 as part of the Condors T.H.I.N.K program.
· Thursday, December 19th - The Condors Coach's Show will be held this week from Idaho, as the Condors will be taking on the Idaho Steelheads this Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The show is held on KGEO Hot Talk 1230 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
· Sunday, December 22nd - The Bakersfield Condors play host to the Long Beach Ice Dogs for The Bakersfield Californian, 101.5 KGFM, & HealthSouth's Cheer Sign Giveaway Night. Everyone in attendance will receive a Condors cheer sign. 101.5 KGFM, Paramount Farms & ARRC Technology will host the third T.H.I.N.K. Night â Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge, of the season. The program allows students to earn tickets to tonight's game through exceptional performance. The night also includes a Skate with the Condors following the game. Bring your skates and take the ice with the team immediately following the game (limited skate rental available). Don't forget our Pre-Game Fiesta, enjoy entertainment, including two bounce houses and a magician, on Centennial Plaza beginning one hour prior to game time. Bring your Bakersfield Californian Post-It Discount found on the front of Friday's Bakersfield Californian. Fans will receive $2.00 off by presenting the Post-It coupon. Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets and group outings may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden. The doors open at 6:00 pm, the puck drops at 7:00 pm.

· Friday, December 13th - Cal, The Baby Condor, joined KGET-TV 17 on their Christmas float as it traveled through the streets of Bakersfield in the 20th Annual Bakersfield Christmas Parade.
