Pride's Parmelee to work All-Star Game

FLORENCE, SC – The East Coast Hockey League today announced that Pee Dee Pride Equipment Manager Damion Parmelee will represent the Southern Conference at the 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game. This year's game will be held at TECO Arena in Estero, Florida on January 21, 2003

Parmelee is in his third season with the Pride. In addition to serving as the team's equipment manger, he is also responsible for all travel arrangements when the team is on the road. Prior to joining the Pride, he was the assistant equipment manager with the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

Joining Parmelee on the Southern Conference bench will be Columbia Inferno athletic trainer Dave Zeis, who held the same position with the Pride in the 2000-2001 season. Coaches for the team will be Florida's Gerry Fleming and Chris Cichocki from Arkansas.

The ECHL will announce the Northern Conference All-Star Team on Wednesday the Southern Conference squad on Thursday.

The Pride return to action tonight, traveling to Charleston to take on the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:00 p.m. After another road game on Friday at Greenville (7:05 p.m.), Pee Dee will return to the Lion's Den for a match-up against the Grrrowl on Saturday at 7:30.
