Grrrowl announce partnership with For Our Children

GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Grrrowl announced today a partnership with "FOR OUR CHILDREN" which will span four games in late October and early November. A portion of the proceeds from Grrrowl games on October 28th, 29th and November 4th and 5th will go towards the charitable organization, an all-volunteer community service campaign supporting local child-focused organizations through fundraising and awareness efforts .

The games included in the fund-raising promotion all begin at 7:05 p.m. at the BI-LO Center. On Friday, October 28th, the Grrrowl host Pensacola, and take on Columbia the following night. On Friday, November 4th, Greenville welcomes the Reading Royals, followed by a game against the Gwinnett Gladiators the next night.

For Our Children, a non-profit organization, was created to promote and sustain the community's commitment to the education, development, and well-being of Greenville's children - mind, body, and spirit.

In 2004, For Our Children distributed $200,000 to the following organizations: The Meyer Center for Special Children, A Child's Haven, American Diabetes Association's Camp Independence, Camperdown Academy, Carolina Ballet Theater, Center for Developmental Services, Children's Areas of Artisphere, Children's Garden at Linky Stone Park, Clement's Kindness Fund for the Children, Greenville Hospital System's Children's Hospital, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Ronald McDonald House and South Carolina Children's Theater.
