Milam Assigned to Gwinnett from AHL Chicago

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that defenseman Troy Milam has been assigned to the team from the Gladiators AHL affiliate Chicago Wolves.

Milam began his professional career with the Gladiators during Gwinnett's inaugural 2003-04 season. He represented the organization in the 2004 ECHL All Star Game in Peoria, Illinois where he recorded a goal and an assist for 2 points.

He finished the 2003-04 regular season with 6 goals and 27 assists with the Gladiators while appearing in 20 AHL games with Manchester and San Antonio posting a goal and two assists.

He split time last season between the Reading Royals and Manchester Monarchs. The Lake Orion, Michigan native posted 2 goals and 12 assists in 42 AHL contests with Manchester. He recorded 10 assists in 19 games with Reading last year.

The Gwinnett Gladiators open the 2005-06 ECHL season at the Arena at Gwinnett Center hosting the Charlotte Checkers on October 21st. The Gladiators play all 36 home games at the Arena at Gwinnett Center located on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth and are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers.
