
Ice Pilots Make Trade With Greenville

Pensacola, FL - The 2004-2005 Brabham Cup Champion Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that they have acquired forward Jake Brenk (pronounced brink) from the Greenville Grrrowl for financial considerations and named Corby Antropik equipment manager.
Brenk, who stands 6'3" and weighs 206 pounds, played in 11 games with Greenville last season scoring 2 goals, 1 assist for 3 points after playing in 33 games for Minnesota State University-Mankato scoring 6 goals, 13 assists for 19 points picking up 18 penalty minutes.
Brenk played in a total of 120 games at Minnesota State University-Mankato from 2001-2005 scoring 16 goals, 32 assists for 48 points picking up 98 penalty minutes. He was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the fifth round and was the 154th overall player taken in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Bre! nk is 23 years old from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and shoots right.
Antropik was the equipment manager for the San Angelo Saints last season in the Central Hockey League. He also was the equipment manager for the Texas Tornado of the North American Hockey League and was a pro shop manager at Peranis Hockey World in Dallas, Texas.
Antropik was also a locker room attendant for the Ft. Worth Brahmas and Ft. Worth Fire of the Central Hockey League. He is 24 years old from Ft. Worth, Texas.
The Ice Pilots will play two home preseason games this Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 vs. Gwinnett at 7:05 p.m. Cost of tickets to the Ice Pilots preseason home games are $11 for lower level tickets and $6 for upper level tickets. Fans can purchase individual tickets for the Ice Pilots preseason games in person at the Civic Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, charge by phone at 434-7444 or through the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com.
Season ticket ! holders who purchased preseason tickets to the Ice Pilots preseason ga mes this Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 vs. Gwinnett at 7:05 p.m. can pick up their preseason tickets at the Ice Pilots office or on the day of the game at the will call box office in front of the Pensacola Civic Center. The Ice Pilots office is located on the second floor in the back of the Pensacola Civic Center.
The Ice Pilots will begin their tenth anniversary regular season at home on Friday, October 21 vs. the Greenville Grrrowl at 7:05 p.m. and will also play the Gwinnett Gladiators on Saturday, October 22 at 7:05 p.m.
Season tickets for the Ice Pilots 2005-06 season are on sale. Ticket plans start as slow as $85.84. Fans can call the Ice Pilots office at 432-PUCK (7825) for season ticket and corporate sponsorship information.
Training Camp Notes: The Ice Pilots did some scrimmaging on the ice for the second day in a row. The team had 4 on 4, 3 on 3 and 2 on 2 drills. "I wanted to evaluate their individual skills," said Ice Pilots Head ! Coach Rick Adduono. "I wanted to look at the defensive skills to see how they think on the ice. Everyone is working hard as I am pleased with how the team is progressing." Jake Brenk is expected to join the team at practice tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
