Grizzlies Trainer Plandowski To ECHL All-Star Game

Anchorage, Alaska - The ECHL today announced that Utah Grizzlies Head Athletic Trainer Mike Plandowski has been selected as part of the training staff for the National Conference at the 2010 ECHL All-Star Game and All-Star Skills Competition presented by Reebok Hockey and brought to you by Toyota and the City of Ontario.

Plandowski joins Grizzlies players Ryan Kinasewich, AJ Perry and Vic Bartley who were selected to participate in the All-Star festivities last week.

The 2010 ECHL All-Star Game will be hosted by the Ontario Reign at Citizens Business Bank Arena and played on Jan. 20, 2010 while the 2010 ECHL All-Star Skills Competition will be held on Jan. 19, 2010.

Plandowski, a native of Buffalo, New York, is in his third season as the Grizzlies Head Athletic Trainer and worked his 600th career regular season game October 16, 2009 in Las Vegas. His previous experience includes time in the CHL and UHL with Kalamazoo, Quad City, Arizona, Border City and Amarillo.

The 32-year-old received his Master's degree in Kinesiology/Biomechanics from the University of Kentucky after completing his Sports Medicine/Athletic Training degree from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Plandowski served as an intern for the ECHL's Columbus Chill in 1998-99.

Utah continues their trip in Alaska Friday and Saturday. Face-off both evenings is scheduled for 9:15 p.m.

The Grizzlies return home Friday, January 22 to host Ontario at the E-Center at 7:05 p.m.
