January 7, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Elmira Jackals News Release

The ECHL announced Thursday that Elmira Jackals forward Justin Donati has been named the Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month for December. This is Donati's second Rookie of the Month award in 2009-2010, having also received the honor in October.

Donati had 16 points (7g-9a) in December, including six multi-point games, to lead all ECHL rookies. The Oakville, Ontario native recorded nine points in four Jackals victories in the final five games of December, as the Jackals upped their record to 15-13-2-2 to end the calendar year. He ended the month by propelling the Jackals to a 6-3 victory at Johnstown with two goals and an assist on Dec. 31, the same day he was selected as a starter for the American Conference in the 2010 ECHL All-Star Game presented by Reebok and brought to you by Toyota and the City of Ontario.

This season, Donati leads the ECHL with 52 points and 34 assists and is on a four-game point streak.

In addition to his two monthly awards and All-Star Game selection, Donati was named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Dec. 28-Jan. 3 on Tuesday and garnered that same distinction earlier this season for the week of Nov. 9-Nov. 15.

The Jackals host the Florida Everblades on Friday, Jan. 8 and Saturday, Jan. 9 at 7:35 p.m.
