Utah Grizzlies News Release

Boise, Idaho - The Utah Grizzlies defeated the Idaho Steelheads 4-2 Saturday night at CenturyLink Arena to sweep the three-game series.

Idaho took a 1-0 lead 2:28 into the contest for their first lead of the three-game series. The lead lasted 5:55 before Paul McIlveen broke up ice shorthanded and buried his team-leading 23rd of the year at 8:23. Utah made it 2-1 1:41 later as Ryan Watson won a face-off and Ryan Turek threw a puck through traffic that was redirected home by Matt Sorteberg for his first goal of the season.

Utah made it 3-1 with a second period power-play goal as Nick Tuzzolino ripped home a slapshot from the high-slot with assists going to Turek and McIlveen.

Leading 3-2 with 40 seconds left, Idaho called timeout and setup with an extra-attacker. Logan MacMillan (8) poked a puck away at the blue line and headed up ice for an empty-net goal to put the contest away.

Andrew Engelage stopped 42 of 44 shots for the win as he improved to 18-16-0-2.

The Grizzlies resume action Tuesday in Bakersfield. Face-off is scheduled for 8:10 p.m.

Utah returns home March 5th, 7th, 9th and 10th to open four-games in six nights.
