Gill and Kivisto Return to K-Wings

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL, two-time defending North Division Champions, reigning Eastern Conference Champions and National Hockey League affiliate to the Vancouver Canucks and New Jersey Devils and American Hockey League's Albany Devils, announce the return of goaltender Riley Gill from loan to the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers and the signing of defenseman John Kivisto; per team policy, terms of the contract will be undisclosed.

Gill, who will not dress in tonight's game for the K-Wings, has been with the Sound Tigers since February 18th. The native Northfield, Minnesota didn't play a game for Bridgeport. This season with Kalamazoo, Gill is 19-9-1-3 in 32 games with a goals-against-average of 2.83 and a save percentage of 0.907.

Kivisto returns to the K-Wings after filling in for 17 games already this year for Kalamazoo. Last season, Kivisto played in four games a season ago for the K-Wings and participated in the training camps of the K-Wings and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

In a separate transaction, the K-Wings have placed defenseman Joe Tolles on the 3-Day Injured Reserve.

Kalamazoo will head on the road tonight, Saturday, February 25th for a 7:35 p.m. encounter against the Cincinnati Cyclones at the U.S. Bank Arena.

The K-Wings will return home to Wings Stadium tomorrow, Sunday, February 26th with a 4 p.m. face-off versus the Wheeling Nailers on a Family Hockey in the 'ZOO, featuring every kid's favorite adventurer, Dora the Explorer, presented by Meijer, Pepsi, Charter and the Kalamazoo Gazette.

The first 500 kids will receive a FREE K-Wings Dry-Erase Goalie Mask, presented by Pepsi and all fans can skate with the team after the game (skate rental is $3).

Sunday will also be the K-Wings annual Faith Night, which will feature two concerts, from Christian recording artist, Please Promise at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Both shows will feature speaker, Pastor Taylor Downs Russell, Minister of Youth & Young Adults at Second Reformed Church, with the theme of "The Ultimate Goal".

During the 2 p.m. show, K-Wings defenseman Sam Ftorek will give a testimonial.

Single-game tickets for the upcoming 2011-2012 season are on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, please call Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours at (269) 345-5101.

Tickets for all K-Wings home games are $12.90 and $16.90 for adults, $11.90 for seniors (62 years and older) and military (with proper ID) and only $6.90 for kids ages 12 and under. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games and New Year's Eve game) are just $1 more. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single game tickets in advance because tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $1.
