Grizzlies Split in Orlando with 4-3 Overtime Loss

Orlando, Florida - The Orlando Solar Bears defeated the Utah Grizzlies 4-3 in overtime Sunday afternoon at Amway Center to settle for three of six standings points and a 1-1-1-0 record on the trip.

Utah improves to 4-1-1-0 since Christmas and returns home for eight of their next ten games starting Tuesday with Las Vegas at 7 p.m. Utah recorded a season-high 49 shots in the contest and a season-high of 22 shots in the second period. Utah battled back down 2-0 in the second to tie and down 3-2 in the third to tie, but was never able to take the lead.

For the second-straight game, Utah dug themselves an early hole and trailed 2-0

after one period.

Brent Gwidt's fourth goal of the year on a slap shot from the right circle got Utah on the board 2:37 into the second period as Martin Lee and Mike Ezekiel kept the puck alive and the Grizzlies made it 2-1.

Utah tied the game with 4:48 left in the second period on D.J. Jelitto's second goal in two nights as he hammered in his own rebound in front on a great setup from Pat O'Keefe after Michael Pelech won a face-off.

Tied at two going to the third, Orlando took the lead back at 3-2 before Pat O'Keefe's first pro goal evened the score 6:11 later at 7:52 of the third period.

The Solar Bears won the game off of a face-off with 1:03 left in overtime as Jacob Cepis hammered in his second-straight goal.

In his Grizzlies debut, Cody Reichard stopped 32 of 36 shots.

Utah returns home for four games in five nights Tuesday and Wednesday of next weekend with Wild $2 Specials of $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Fries, $2 Soft Drinks and $2 Draft Beers. Face-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. against Las Vegas.
