Today's Matchup: The San Francisco Bulls (12-17-3-1) head back on the road to wrap up their three-in-three weekend set when they take on the Ontario Reign (25-1-3), this afternoon, at Citizens Business Bank Arena. This is the sixth of 10 meetings between these clubs this season. The Reign hold the edge in the season series eight points to three.

Last night, in the conclusion of their five-game series with the Stockton Thunder, the Bulls lost, 5-0. Stockton scored once in the first, and twice in each of the second and third periods. The Bulls had scoring chances, but couldn't solve netminder Parker Milner. The Thunder out-shot San Francisco, 42-32.

With the Bulls arriving in their third city in three days, they'll be looking to rebound from last nights defeat. To do so they'll need a boost from rookie standout Brett Findlay. Findlay ranks second on the team in assists (15) and points (22), and third in goals (7), and plus/minus rating (+1). The forward has been steadily rising up the rookie scoring leaders as the season has progressed. He is currently tied for fourth.

Ontario has been having an impressive season. They hold the top spot in the Western Conference, and have the second best record in the ECHL. They are headlined by forward Mario Lamoureux, who leads the team in goals (12), plus/minus rating (+13), and sits second in points (24). He has compiled nine points (4g, 5a) in his past 10 games.

San Francisco is in sixth place in the Western Conference with 28 points. They are one point in front of the Bakersfield Condors. The Reign are in first place in the Western Conference with 50 points. They have a nine point lead on the Colorado Eagles.

Following this afternoon's contest, the Bulls will be off for three days. They return home this Thursday, January 9, to begin a three-in-three weekend series with the Alaska Aces. Game one starts at 7:30 pm.
