Utah Grizzlies News Release
The Grizzlies (0-0-0-1) and the Ducks (1-0-0-0) will play each team's second game of the season and for Utah they will be looking for their first win of the season after earning a point in the season opener on Wednesday (a 4-3 shootout loss to Cincinnati). Utah is 8-7-2 lifetime versus the Mighty Ducks.
Doug Doull scored the team's first goal of the season in the first period (Jon Sim and Joe Callahan also scored for Utah). The second year player earned first star honors in the game with a goal and two helpers. Rookie Tim Brent had a pair of assists.
For Utah, goaltender Jean-Marc Pelletier made 35 saves and was named the game's third star. All but four of the Ducks 39 shots on goal came after the first period.
