
Barons Home Opener Tomorrow At National City Rink at Gund Arena

CLEVELAND â On Saturday, October 16th at 7:00pm, the Cleveland Barons will open the home portion of their schedule against the Manitoba Moose at the National City Rink at Gund Arena. It will mark the Barons second game of the 2004-05 campaign as they will be fresh off the season opener in Grand Rapids that will occur tonight at 7:30pm.
The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a 2004-05 Cleveland Barons Magnet Schedule courtesy of Holland Oil-Citgo.
During the game, SpongeBob SquarePants will be on hand courtesy of "SpongeBob the Movie". Fans in attendance can enter-to-win a chance to see an exclusive early screening of "SpongeBob the Movie".
Following the game, the Barons will host the season's first Post-Game Skate presented by Marc's. The entire Barons lineup from the evening will be on the ice to sign autographs and pose for pictures. Fans must bring their own ice skates as they are not provided at the game.
"Our goal is to make opening night at National City Rink at Gund Arena an experience that each fan will remember," stated Michael T. Lehr, president of the Barons. "Between the team that we have on the ice and the promotions that we have surrounding the game, we are setting the tone for what is to come during the 2004-05 season."
The Barons are set to open the 2004-05 home schedule when they drop the Rubbermaid game puck on Saturday, October 16th at National City Rink at Gund Arena at 7pm against the Manitoba Moose.
