
Barons Announce 2004-05 Promotional Schedule

CLEVELAND â The Cleveland Barons announced today their promotional schedule for the 2004-05 regular season. Michael T. Lehr, president of the Cleveland Barons, made the announcement.
The Barons will host the second "Cold War on Ice" on Saturday, January 29th at National City Rink at Gund Arena. The Cold War on Ice will pit the state champion St. Edward Eagles against the St. Ignatius Wildcats as another chapter is added to their legendary rivalry. Last season, St. Edward was able to hold off a late St. Ignatius charge in a 3-2 victory. The Barons will then host the St. John's Maple Leafs at 7pm following the high school contest. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a Barons T-Shirt.
The Cleveland Barons will host two Bobblehead nights this season. The first will occur on Saturday, January 8th against the Grand Rapids Griffins at 8:00pm as the first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a Doug Murray Bobblehead courtesty of National City. On Saturday, March 5th, the Barons will host the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:00pm. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a Garrett Stafford Bobblehead.
On Saturday, March 26th, when the Barons host the Syracuse Crunch, the first 1,000 children 14-and-under in attendance will receive a Barons Lunchbox courtesy of Cleveland Clinic Sports Health.
During the course of the season, fans can skate on the National City Rink in a Post-Game Skate presented by Marc's on three occasions: Saturday, October 16th @ 7:00pm, Saturday, March 5th @ 7pm, and Saturday, April 2nd @ 7pm. Also, the Barons will host a Post-Game Team Autograph Session on Saturday, March 19th at 7:00pm as the first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a Barons Team Photo.
On Friday, December 17th at 7:00pm and Friday, March 4th at 7:00pm, the first 1,000 children 14-and-under will receive a Collectors Puck courtesy of East of Chicago Pizza.
"Our corporate support has stepped up and really given our promotional schedule a boost," stated Lehr. "The Cleveland Clinic, Cox Communications, East of Chicago, Marc's, and National City have reached out to our fans making a trip to see the Barons at the National City Rink at Gund Arena a true, interactive experience."
The Barons are set to open the 2004-05 home schedule when they drop the puck on Saturday, October 16th at National City Rink at Gund Arena at 7pm against the Manitoba Moose.
