
Grizzlies Hit The Road For Seven Games

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies (9-9-0-1) will begin a seven-game road trip tomorrow night against the Chicago Wolves. The journey will cover 9,647 miles and keep the Grizzlies on foreign soil for 14 days.
Utah completed an eight-game home stand on Wednesday night with a 2-1 overtime win versus Philadelphia. The Grizzlies wound up the home swing with nine points in their last five games (4-0-0-1).
The Grizzlies have several players that caught fire offensively during the past two weeks. Jon Sim has vaulted to the top five in the American Hockey League (AHL) in scoring with five goals and 16 assists. In his last five games, he has piled up nine points (2-7-9).
Other hot players include Jim Montgomery (four goals and three assists in last four games), Greg Hawgood (two goals and five assists in his last five games) and Steve Gainey (one goal and four assists in his last five games). Goaltender Corey Hirsch has also found himself in a groove going 4-1-0-1 over his last six decisions allowing just 15 goals over that stretch.
The seven-game trip begins with two games in Chicago (the Grizzlies will return to Utah between games) and continues to Winnipeg with a pair of games against Manitoba and then moves south to San Antonio for one game and concludes with a pair of games in Grand Rapids.
