Myrtle Beach Thunderboltz News Release
FLORENCE, SC â The Pee Dee Pride organization today announced that they will hold their annual "Teddy Bear Toss" on Friday, December 13th when the Pride host the Columbus Cottonmouths. All of the toys collected will be donated to WBTW News 13's Toys for the Territory campaign.
All fans in attendance on December 13th are asked to bring a new, plush toy to the game. When the Pride score their first goal that night, fans will throw the teddy bears onto the ice.
"This is a great way for our fans to help out some of the less fortunate people of the community," Pride Senior Vice President Jack Capuano said. "Over the last few years, we have collected a lot of teddy bears during this promotion, and we hope that Pride fans will once again have a tremendous response on December 13th ."
The Pride are back in action at the Lion's Den tomorrow night, hosting the Columbia Inferno at 7:30 p.m. Following that game, the Pride head on the road for a four-game road trip, and will not return home until Friday, December 6th. Tickets for all Pride home games are available at the Florence Civic Center Box Office, or through TicketMaster at (84) 679-9333 or www.ticketmaster.com.
