Grizzlies Fall 4-1 To Fresno

West Valley City, Utah - The Fresno Falcons defeated the Utah Grizzlies (30-22-1-6) 4-1 Friday night at the E-Center before 6,085 fans. $16,750 was raised in the post-game Harley-Davidson game-worn jersey auction. All net proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

After a scoreless first period, which saw Fresno outshoot Utah 15-9, Fresno took over with two goals in the final two periods.

Utah trailed 2-0 at the start of the third period but Jeff Dwyer (3) scored a power-play goal 2:04 into the frame with Scott Burt and Evan Kotsopoulos picking up assists.

Fresno then reclaimed their two goal lead 2:27 later and then made it 3-1 28 seconds after that to make it 4-1 and that would be the final score.

Utah was outshot 48-24 in the game.

Mike Mole stopped 44 of 48 shots in just his second regulation (7-2-1-2) in his last 12 starts.

The Grizzlies return to the E-Center Sunday at 4:05 p.m. hosting Fresno.
