
Checkers Trade And Tryon Event Canceled Due To Weather Conditions

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers announced today that they have cancelled an event on the corner of Trade and Tryon in Uptown Charlotte scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to weather conditions.
The event was a precursor to the 3rd Annual Salute to Heroes Night on Saturday, March 8 presented by Pita Pit and Time Warner Cable.

The Checkers are in their 15th season of play as a member of the ECHL. The next home game takes place on March 8 the Dayton Bombers. In the team's 14-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 10 times including three consecutive playoff appearances to date.
