Grizzlies Drop Rubber Game In Victoria

Victoria, British Columbia - The Victoria Salmon Kings scored four unanswered goals in a 4-1 win over Utah Sunday afternoon.

In the first period, Utah killed their first two shorthanded situations of the game then shortly thereafter converted on their first power-play with James Sanford scoring his first goal in a Utah uniform at the 7:41 mark of the first period.

Victoria scored a power-play goal early in the second and a shorthanded goal late in the frame to take a 2-1 lead into the second intermission.

The Salmon Kings added two late third period goals, including a 5-on-3 tally to seal the victory.

Utah returns home to the E-Center to open a six-game home stand Thursday, Friday and Saturday of next week with Stockton. All remaining Utah home games start at 7:05 p.m.
