JOHNSTOWN, PA (March 18, 2007) - Another fast start for the Trenton Titans allowed them to skate away with a 5-2 win versus the Johnstown Chiefs on Sunday afternoon at the Cambria County War Memorial.

For the second consecutive game, the Titans were able to take a 3-0 lead into the first intermission on a trio of goals scored over a span of 2:37. Scott Bertoli broke the scoreless tie at 14:55 taking a pass from Troy Riddle and sending a wrist shot from the far circle that beat Morgan Cey on the glove side.

Less than two minutes later, with Trenton on the power play, Benoit Mondou put his team up 2-0, picking up his own blocked shot and lifting it under the crossbar. Troy Riddle completed the flurry of goals at 17:32, taking a breakaway pass from Bertoli and sneaking a backhander through the five-hole of Cey for his 25th goal of the season.

Mark Pandolfo gave the Titans a comfortable 4-0 cushion at 8:44 of the second frame when he kicked down an outlet attempt by the Chiefs before breaking in alone and throwing a wrister inside the near post.

Johnstown would get on the board later in the frame when Gus Katsuras's one-timer from atop the goalmouth got by Gregg Naumenko.

Luis Tremblay and Rob Lehtinen traded goals in the third period to complete the scoring.

Naumenko's 23 saves helped him gather his 19th win of the season and fourth win in his last five starts.

The Titans were 1-for-4 on the power play and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.

The Trenton Titans and Johnstown Chiefs will clash again on Wednesday, March 21 at 7:00pm at the Sovereign Bank Arena. Listen to all of the Titans action live on WBCB-1490AM or go to www.trentontitans.com to listen or watch courtesy of B2 Networks.
