Everblades get Kowalski back from Carolina

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that goaltender Craig Kowalski has been reassigned to the club from the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League, and that goaltender Josh Johnson was placed on the 3-day injured reserve list. To make room on the 3-day IR forward Brent McDonald has been moved to the 7-day IR.

Kowalski returns to the lineup after spending the past seven days with the Hurricanes as John Grahame's back up for three games. The 27-year-old was the emergency goaltender for the Hurricanes during their 2006 Stanley Cup championship run. With the Everblades this season Kowalski is 24-11-3 with a 2.69 goals against average and a .916 save percentage in 38 games.
