Stingrays Face-Off Against the Ice Pilots Today

South Carolina Stingrays News Release


North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays and Pensacola Ice Pilots take the ice today at 4 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum.

The two teams battled last night down in Pensacola with the Stingrays coming from behind to win 4-3 in a shootout. Donny Grover had his first multi-goal (2g) game of the season and Jarrett Konkle and Evan Schwabe scored in the shootout to secure the Stingrays victory.

The Stingrays are now 33-24-7 for 73 points and fourth place in the South Division. The team improved to 17-12-2 on the road and 6-2-0 against the Ice Pilots.

Despite Evan Lindsay stopping 47 shots, the Ice Pilots lost their second game in a row. The team is 19-39-4 on the year for 42 points. With the loss, Pensacola dropped to 11-16-3 at home.
