Grizzlies Beat Las Vegas 6-4

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies defeated the Las Vegas Wranglers 6-4 Saturday night at the E-Center to finish their four-game in five-night home stand 2-1-1-0.

The Grizzlies rattled off three goals in a span of 2:07 in the first period to build a 3-1 first intermission lead rallying back from an early 1-0 deficit.

Tied at 3 in the third, Utah reclaimed control with a power-play goal from Tom May at 8:56 of the period before Tim Verbeek scored just eleven seconds later at 9:07 of the third period on his team leading 14th goal of the year.

Following a late Las Vegas goal to make the game 5-4, Evan Kotsopoulos scored into an empty net to preserve the Grizzlies win and 6-4 was the final.

Led by Ryan Kinasewich's one goal and three assists, nine Utah players scored in the game; Rob Hennigar added three assists. Tom May (two goals), Jordan Hart (two assists) and Evan Kotsopoulos (one goal, one assist) also had multiple-point games.

Goaltender Mike Mole stopped 37 of 41 shots in the win for Utah.

The Grizzlies open a three-game road trip Wednesday in Idaho. Face-off is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. Grizzlies Beat Las Vegas 6-4
