ESTERO, FL - Mark Lee's goal with 2:53 remaining in regulation propelled the Florida Everblades (23-8-2) to their fourth straight win with a 2-1 victory over the Mississippi Sea Wolves (15-18-3) on Saturday night at Germain Arena.

Lee sent the crowd of 5,851 into a frenzy with his second goal of the night and the eventual game-winner by one-timing a pass from Matt Auffrey into the right side of the net. The play began with Andrew Fournier dumping the puck down to the left corner where Auffrey and Lee took over cycling the puck. Auffrey eventually emerged from behind the net on the left side before hitting Lee with a perfect pass in the slot.

In the second period Lee stepped up with his first of the night and third goal of the season to tie the score at one with a 5-on-3 power play goal. The play developed at the blue line where Peter Metcalf rifled a shot toward the net. The puck deflected off the pad of Mississippi net-minder Ryan Munce and trickled behind him. Lee, who was camped out at the right post, swept the puck across the line at 5:27 to erase the Sea Wolves 1-0 lead.

Mississippi came out strong to open the game and eventually jumped to a 1-0 lead with a late goal in the opening frame. Just as an Everblades penalty had expired, Sea Wolves captain Jason Tejchma threw the puck to the net from the right corner where it banked off Everblades goaltender Anton Khudobin's stick and into the goal at 16:18.

From there on, Khudobin held strong turning away a total of 33 shots including coming up with two huge saves in the final seconds of regulation with Mississippi pressuring six attackers to five. Khudobin, who's last win came against Mississippi on December 19, snapped a personal two-game losing skid and improved his overall record to 12-5-1.

Munce suffered his second straight tough-luck loss to the Everblades stopping 44 of 46 shots, but saw his record fall to 11-11-0. In the weekend series Munce faced 96 shots, stopping 91, but losing both.

The win allowed the Everblades to remain perfect on the year against the Sea Wolves at 6-0-0.

On the power play, the Everblades finished the night 1-of-8, while Mississippi closed out the game 0-of-5.
