Dayton, OH- Tomas Zaborksy scored the go-ahead goal with six minutes remaining in the game to give the Bombers a 5-4 win over the visiting Wheeling Nailers in front of 6,997 fans at the E.J. Nutter Center on Saturday night.

The Nailers were the first to get on the board, scoring at the 4 minute mark of the first period. The Bombers would answer with a power play goal from Danny LaPointe, assisted by Mike McLean and Joe Van Culin. However, in the closing second of the frame, former Bomber Ben Geelan would put the Nailers ahead 2-1. The Bombers outshot Wheeling 13-9 in the first.

The second period saw more quick action from Wheeling, who went ahead 3-1 when Bryan Ewing netted his 21st goal of the year. With the man advantage Dan Riedel would cut the lead to one goal with helpers from Brock Wilson and Jarret Lukin.

Lukin would tie the game at three less than a minute into the third period, also on the power play, from Les Reaney and Riedel. Once again, the Nailers would regain their lead when the puck got past goaltender Paul Drew at 3:47. The Bombers staged their comeback as Ryan Smyth tallied his 10th of the season from LaPointe and Christian Gaudet. Finally Zaborsky netted the game winner from McLean and Wilson at 13:09 in the third.

Drew was 25 of 29 for his 10th win of the season, while Wheeling's David Brown was 21 of 22 before leaving the game in the second with an injury. Curtis Darling, filling in for Brown, was 22 of 26.

The Bombers were 3 of 7 on the power play and 4 of 5 on the penalty kill.
